o blog plataforma coletiva foi criado para organizar e compartilhar referências para o meu trabalho sobre a apropriação do espaço público da metrópole contemporânea.
morando em são paulo é clara a observação da marginalização do espaço público, usado exclusivamente para a passagem, sendo esquecido como espaço democrático, coletivo e de troca.
esse fenômeno da assepsia social do espaço público, observado principalmente nas metrópoles contemporâneas ao redor do mundo, convive com a tímida apropriação informal da cidade por aqueles que ainda esperam dela a democracia que o termo “público” traz.
aqui pretendo reunir o que estiver ligado a essa apropriação informal da cidade, seja ela expressiva [artístico-politica] ou de uso por necessidade.
como forma de influência nessa dinâmica, admiro trabalhos relacionais, que se propõem a interferir na cidade para destacar o seu caráter de construção coletiva. serão elencados alguns projetos de arquitetura e arte nesse sentido. darei especial atenção a intervenções temporárias, objetuais e interativas, que me parecem mais interessantes como dispositivo provocativo.
essas iniciativas, apesar de pontuais, são cada vez mais recorrentes nas metrópoles mundiais, evidenciando uma rede de resistência afetiva ao individualismo e passividade. como rede, mostra a sua força no sentido modificador concreto da esfera citadina. textos e links relacionados às redes sociais e de outro tipo também terão seu espaço aqui.

post-it cities
“Post-it Cities” aims to explore the many differing variations of the phenomenon as a basis for documentation and reflection: an industrial estate that becomes an illegal race circuit at weekends, the use of the building-site city for the adventures of explorer nerds, variants of the squatter phenomenon, the use of different wastelands for occasional meetings (nomad camp, rave), the conversion of a daytime campus into an night-time area of sexual transactions, etc.
This project brings together a series of parameters that provide particularly interesting themes for contemporary culture: the need to create available spaces, the versatility of the recycling concept, the emergence of new forms of subjectivity, etc.
southwark lido
The Southwark Lido expresses EXYZT’s strategy of urban renewal, based on the idea that a community of users actively creating and inhabiting their urban environment is key to generating a vibrant city. This project explores the potential of using a site in transition from empty lot to new residential and office buildings, generously lent by Solid Space, to create a vibrant point of community and cultural engagement during its transformation. The run-up to its installation will see the organisers forming links with the local community and specific groups, providing them with a new place to hold events and share their work.

Fiteiro Cultural (Culture Kiosk) is a Public and Contextual Art work created by the artist Fabiana de Barros.
It is a nomadic structure at disposal for artists. This art piece has been settled in several situations around the world: João Pessoa, Athenas, Sion, New York, Havana, Yerevan, São Paulo, Dunkerque, Milan and Geneva.
talleres callejeros en Bogotá
Las calles del 7 de agosto muestran la mecánica colombiana: espacios públicos convertidos en lugares de trabajo y poblados de personajes variopintos.
Este popular sector lleva casi dos décadas dedicado al negocio de la reparación y siempre han trabajo en las calles. En el área se manejan distintos tipos de mercancías: repuestos originales, repuestos «chimbos» (de segunda mano) y repuestos robados de vehículos desvalijados. A su vez, hay mecánicos propietarios de locales, mecánicos ambulantes, vendedores de accesorios, o los llamados «para calles» (quienes consiguen repuestos o reparaciones rápidas sin necesidad que el cliente se baje del vehículo).
Las labores de reparación que se efectúan en estas calles conllevan también la aparición de pequeños dispositivos: contenedores de herramientas amarrados a las postes, carritos con cachivaches y distintos talleres móviles.
El 7 es un paradigma de las dinámicas económicas informales que operan en la ciudad de Bogotá, donde la apropiación del espacio público es un signo elocuente de las necesidades reales de una ciudad sometida a un creciente proceso de regulación.

SchoolParasites
SchoolParasites are alternative emergency classrooms for primary and other schools. They can be used for lessons, but are primarily intended to accommodate the schoolsí new activities. They have been designed for mass production, and can be ordered by any school in the Netherlands. The three prize-winning SchoolParasites are located in Hoogvliet and were officially opened on 24th May 2004. ëThe Chinese Lanterní by the industrial designer Christoph Seyferth at the De Tuimelaar primary school, ëThe Flowerí by architect Barend Koolhaas is at De Notenkraker school and ëThe Beastí by the ONIX architecture firm is at the Jacobus school. The book ëSchoolParasites. Nieuwe noodlokalen voor naoorlogs Nederlandí has also recently been published. In this publication the designs and the schools where they have been located are discussed in detail. The anonymous post-war schools show that they have an identity and a story, which reflects both the architectural history and the social development of the suburb. As a result of the SchoolParasites, important questions have been raised with regard to education and architecture, permanence and transience, and the restructuring of post-war suburbs.

Intervenções potencializadoras de situações urbanas, distintas de obras ditadas pelo desenho existente da cidade e pelos interesses econômicos e sociais dominantes. Uma possibilidade de introduzir novas estratégias urbanas.”

SKOR
SKOR (Foundation Art and Public Space) is a public art institution that develops exceptional art projects in relation to public spaces. SKOR guides and advises organizations that wish to realize art in a public location, and provides financial support when necessary. SKOR aims at promoting the quality and experience of public space and endeavours to bring experimental approaches and critical discourses on art in public space to the attention of a larger public. The organisation focuses on interaction between art, partner, location, and the public and establishes connections with developments in new media, architecture, urban development, and landscape architecture.
Public space is a term that touches on many subjects: on spatial planning and the layout of the urban space and landscape; but also television or the Internet as forms of public domain. Furthermore, increasing numbers of artists are claiming the public space as their field of activity.
Although it has been operating mostly at national level up to the present, SKOR is planning to create an international platform to develop dialogue and collaborations between institutes, artists and art professionals to further promote the quality of public space and to reinforce the position of Dutch art internationally.
